Umm... Yeah

It's been a long time since I've posted. I've been swamped with work and I finally have a pair of days off in a row. Sadly, I've lost contact this last month with a lot of people just because my schedule has been quite different from most other peoples. The store has been open all of december until 9 every night except for Sunday... yeah, that includes Saturdays. My shift has pretty much been 1 - 9 most days of the week and has actually been tiring me out quite a bit. By the time I get home, make myself some supper and actually get done with eating, it's usually close to 10:30 or 11 and I don't want to call many people that late. Add the fact that most days my throat is extremely raw and talking some more is the last thing that I want to do. Things are slowing down somewhat, so hopefully people will welcome a little more social Kelly with open arms, and aren't too upset about my little disappearance.

Since things have been so profitable right now, I've taken the opportunity to treat myself. The biggest treat of all is that fact that all my debts (save for my car) will be paid off at the end of January. I'm looking for another part-time position since I'll be moving back in hours somewhat. If I'm successful in finding a second job by the end of January, then I'm planning on a trip to Cuba or the Dominican Republic in March. It will be kind of a late birthday celebration for myself, and it looks like it will be a birthday celebration for Nash. Wish me luck in making that happen, because it's very close to being a reality.

I also treated myself to a new set of speakers for my computer. I've always had my computer hooked up to my home theater system, but with things as they currently sit in different rooms, I had to bite the bullet and go with something seperate. I ended up with a 2.1 system that I have to say I'm EXTREMELY happy with. Honestly, very few things in life provide me with as much enjoyment as extremely crisp, clear and accurate music, and these do a very nice job... and they get REALLY loud. I got the system for a steal as well, so that makes things soooo much better.

I'd like to offer thanks to ShyAng for a nice little Xmas present. Sadly I can't take you for coffee there (since you don't actually drink coffee), so I'll have to substitute something like desert at McNally's instead the next time we go out. It sounds like you're not having the most wonderful season, so I do hope things take a more positive turn sometime soon. I send my love as always, and know you'll pull through this on top like you always do. Sorry I haven't been available more.

I'm less than 2 weeks until my BC trip. Snow has fallen, and Mt. Washington is open. So, I will get my first snowboarding experience in when I'm out there. I'm excited. It's also been a full year since I've seen Nash, and I am really looking forward to that as well. I'm beginning to think our friendship is a thing of beauty, even though I can't even explain how it evolved into what it is.

I think that will be all for now. Time for an afternoon nap, which had become a very wonderful thing this past month. I will post some new years resolutions shortly, which will be kind of interesting since I've never even made one in the past.
