Where did the time go... or how do you all do it?

Alright... I'm up in the air about this sleep thing. On on hand, damn does it ever feel wonderful just to go to bed and sleep... and sleep and sleep. On the other hand, only having a couple hours left in a day after sleep and work really sucks.

I've learned one thing in the last couple of weeks: I have no time management skills at all anymore. It's kind of funny. I'm so used to having 20 hours in a day that I can kind of leisurely pace myself and I will still have lots of time to complete everything I need to. I can't even get out and see people like I want to right now because I continuously reset my alarm whenever it goes off. The only thing that gets me out of bed lately is work, and I seem to be great at delaying that until the very last minute.

I've got 5 alarms in my room (3 on my phone, 2 different alarm clocks), all set at 15 minute intervals, and I manage to snooze each one of them and roll right back to sleep. I do have a very effective final alarm solution... that would be my family, who are very good about dragging my sorry, sleepy ass out of bed 2 hours before I work. Man, I've never snoozed an alarm clock in my life, and now I actually need people to pull my out of bed. WOW... just WOW.

Also, I seem to have lost my nightmares as well. Those have been replaced by the always wonderful lusting dreams. I'll just leave things at that.

In other non-sleep related news, Suze emailed me telling me that she missed me a whole lot. She said I hurt her a lot with my comments, but she can sort of see where I was coming from. I pretty much figured that silence on my end would eventually lead to here getting in touch with me. Funny, I didn't even lose any sleep over that at all (sorry, it was supposed to be non-sleep related... it just kind of slipped in there).

So, I need help from my ever loyal 2 readers. Suggest some time management techniques, because I'm seriously lacking here. Looks like it's a good time to grab a 2006 dayplanner and start using that again. Also, I need some techniques to get my ass out of bed, which I know B-tard won't really be able to help with.

And so I'm still groggy, but I need to get ready for work. So, Good Morning to everyone, and when I'm done my 8 hours, I'm going back to bed... so Good Night as well.

Yes. A daytimer is the way to go. If I didn't have mine, I'd never pay my bills or know my own name.

As for time management, I say fuck it, at least for a little while. I know you're used to having way more time than other people, my dear, but you are going to have to adapt a bit. Obviously, your body is trying to catch up with the last 4 years of non-sleep. As far as I'm concerned, you fully deserve to, and should engage in, the Rip VanWinkle school of time management for awhile. If any of your friends feel snubbed, send them my way, and I'll straighten them out for you.

I would suggest you look at this narcoleptic business as the next stepping stone to being a healthy, functional, well-rounded individual. This period of constant sleep is exceedingly important to your further development, and should be indulged as much as humanly possible. In my semi-non-professional opinion.

Dr. Book, out.
