Well... it's September... monthly update time again
Alright... so it's amazing how quickly time is flying by.
Tomorrow we should have figured out and secured our new place in Courtenay in the Comox Valley on Vancouver Island. Courtenay is about 45 minutes south of where we currently are, but is a little bigger, has much better retail and is a far more beautiful city. I'll hopefully be looking at a 2 bedroom townhouse style condo with patio, gas fireplace, 5 appliances in a very nice neighborhood for just a hair under $700/month. Not bad... and it will have a lovely view of the mountains as well. I can't wait for October 1st.
We're both extremely excited to get off of Quadra Island, and out of Nat's parent's house. There is a dark cloud hanging over this house, and something very bad is on the verge of happening. The negative energy just flows from every uneven nook and cranny in this house. Nat's parent's are not doing very well in their relationship, Nat's mom needs to up her depression meds, and they are attempting (failing?) to get a start on building a new house on their property. This negative energy is really affecting me and I'm spending a lot of my time in this house wishing that I wasn't here. Thank god Nat and I are maintaining a pretty good relationship despite our lack of any days off together. We are certainly doing a good job of pulling each other through the struggles that we're dealing with in this house, and with our respective jobs.
I think I'll leave it at that for the moment... and update when I have news on a new place.
